Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 2026

Our commitment: TheAvatarHub aims to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or assistive technology. We work toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the EU Web Accessibility Directive / UK PSBAR equivalents.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform. We are actively improving.

Accessibility features

  • Skip-to-content link for keyboard users (press Tab on any page).
  • Semantic HTML, ARIA labels on interactive components, visible focus styles.
  • Floating accessibility widget (bottom-left) to adjust:
    • Font size (Normal / Large / X-Large)
    • High-contrast mode
    • Reduced motion (disables animations)
    • Underline all links
  • Responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and dialogs.

Known limitations

  • Some user-uploaded images may lack alt text — we are adding moderation tooling.
  • Third-party content reached via outbound links is outside our control.
  • Some animations may not yet fully respect prefers-reduced-motion at the OS level (use the accessibility widget as a workaround).

Feedback & reporting

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us so we can fix it. Email yael.fuerst1@gmail.com with the page URL and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

Enforcement

In the EU, you may contact your national accessibility enforcement body if you are not satisfied with our response. In the UK, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

This statement is a template. For full legal compliance under EAA / EU Web Accessibility Directive, we recommend a third-party WCAG audit.
